Known issues

Also true and not yet recorded as either: the published Live example uses four props the shipped version does not accept — pageSize, onPageSizeChange, and rowsPerPageOptions were replaced by paginationModel and pageSizeOptions, and unstable_cellSelection is now cellSelection — and declares DataGridPro as its subject while rendering DataGridPremium. Verified against the installed package, not inferred; until the story is corrected, treat the props table it publishes as unreliable. No product adoption is recorded for the grid export in the utilization data, so the adoption figures below cannot yet corroborate any usage guidance on this page.

Gaps in the current rules

  • No column-count limit. Nothing states when a table has too many columns to be scannable, or what to do about it — pin, hide, or move to a detail view.
  • No sanctioned editable table. The demo enables cell selection, and nothing states whether editing in place is supported, what saves it, or how it fails. Treat editable grids as unspecified and ask.
  • No default page size. The grid offers a set of options; nothing says which a list page starts on, and the design’s templates show one number without stating it as the rule.
  • No rule for row height or wrapping. The design library publishes single-line and multi-line cells. Nothing says when a table may use the taller row.
  • Which grid export is the system’s is undecided. Two ship. The guidance story says “use the grid” without saying which, and the published demo names one and renders the other.
  • No rule for default sort. Every table arrives sorted somehow, and nothing states whether that is the newest record, a name, or the server’s order.

Constraints Titan should enforce

These are real, currently-true rules. Nothing in code stops a builder from violating them today — each is a placeholder for a guardrail Titan hasn’t built, not a decision still being made.
